It is a way of investing in the community and responding to the human need to achieve, learn and value oneself.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteering allows a person to enrich their existence, while enriching that of the individuals who benefit from their commitment. It also allows them to expand their social network and create great friendships.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers, together with the various stakeholders in the community, therefore contribute to improving the quality of life of users.<\/p>\n<h3>Who can be a volunteer?<\/h3>\n<p>Anyone over the age of 14 can be a volunteer! Women, men, retirees, students, workers, etc.<\/p>\n<p>A volunteer is a person who freely puts their time, enthusiasm, talents and generosity at the service of users.<\/p>\n<h3>Volunteer profile<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Have time and attention to offer;<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of availability;<\/li>\n<li>Listen to others;<\/li>\n<li>Be respectful of the person and confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Have a team spirit, because the volunteer works in complementarity with the employees and other volunteers;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depending on your availability, activities and a schedule will be assigned to you. Do you have a few hours to give to make a difference?<\/p>\n<h3>Volunteer opportunities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome and orientation at the main entrances;<\/li>\n<li>Leisure activities: playing music on the units, reading or playing cards with the residents;<\/li>\n<li>Friendly visits and listening to patients and residents;<\/li>\n<li>Accompanying patients to their appointments or for outings;<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration in spiritual care activities;<\/li>\n<li>Help with feeding, with the appropriate training;<\/li>\n<li>Sales and customer service at the small boutique;<\/li>\n<li>Transportation of users, staff;<\/li>\n<li>And more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a volunteer, you choose the sectors where you want to offer your time.<\/p>\n<p>You can thus select the units or clienteles according to your preferences.<\/p>\n<p>Training and support documents are offered free of charge by the organization, for volunteers to carry out certain actions or to work on specific units.<\/p>\n<h3>\nFor more information<\/h3>\n<p>Contact the administrative agent of the Multidisciplinary Services Department of your sector at the number listed below.<\/p>\n<p>She will be able to give you all the information required.
