{"id":2017,"date":"2017-09-11T16:16:32","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T16:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/grippe\/"},"modified":"2023-12-13T11:31:25","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T16:31:25","slug":"flu","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/flu\/","title":{"rendered":"Flu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Getting vaccinated every year is a great way of protecting oneself from the flu and its complications (pneumonia, hospitalisation, and death).<\/p>\n<p>There is still time to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>The major symptoms are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Muscle aches;<\/li>\n<li>fatigue;<\/li>\n<li>sudden fever, between 38 \u00b0C and 40 \u00b0C (100,4 \u00b0F and 104 \u00b0F);<\/li>\n<li>generalized widespread malaise lasting several days; cough;<\/li>\n<li>headache;<\/li>\n<li>iritated or sore throat.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nChildren can also experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. The elderly can feel weak and confused without exhibiting any other symptoms. <br \/>\nThe flu is often confused with other respiratory infections such as a cold.
