{"id":2047,"date":"2017-09-11T16:10:33","date_gmt":"2017-09-11T16:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/centre-dhebergement-de-soins-longue-duree-chsld\/"},"modified":"2023-11-27T16:17:24","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T21:17:24","slug":"housing-in-a-long-term-care-centre-chsld","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/housing-in-a-long-term-care-centre-chsld\/","title":{"rendered":"Housing in a Long-Term Care Centre (CHSLD)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The long-term care centre (CHSLD) is a residential service offered to adults with a geriatric profile and to seniors who, due to a severe loss of autonomy, can no longer remain in their natural living environment, despite the support of services in the community and those around them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People with severe physical or cognitive limitations;<\/li>\n<li>People with progressive disease;<\/li>\n<li>People with permanent loss of autonomy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Services Offered<\/h3>\n<p>In a living environment approach, the following services are offered as needed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accommodation services;<\/li>\n<li>Medical services;<\/li>\n<li>Nursing services;<\/li>\n<li>Personal assistance services;<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacy services;<\/li>\n<li>Food and nutrition services;<\/li>\n<li>Palliative care;<\/li>\n<li>Adaptation and rehabilitation services;<\/li>\n<li>Psychosocial services;<\/li>\n<li>Pastoral services;<\/li>\n<li>Entertainment services;<\/li>\n<li>Laundry services;<\/li>\n<li>Hygiene and sanitation services;<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>To obtain these services<\/h3>\n<p><strong>If you are receiving home support services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We invite you to contact the person responsible for your file to share your needs, concerns and questions related to accommodation. With the help of your assessment, a personalized follow-up will be done regarding your request for a change of living environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are not receiving home support services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We invite you to send a request for service to the reception-analysis-orientation desk of the CLSC nearest you.
