You are being admitted to the hospital by your doctor. First of all, you must go to the admission\u2019s desk at the hospital. If your physical condition does not allow you to do this then a mandated person can proceed with your admission.<\/p>\n

Upon admission, you must present your valid health insurance card and your hospital card. If this is your first visit, this card will have been given to you by the clerk at admissions.
\nResidents from another Canadian province<\/p>\n
Upon admission, you must present the health insurance card from your province of residence. If your card is expired or you do not have it with you, you must pay the hospitalisation fees (including external and emergency services).<\/p>\n

Upon admission, you must present a piece of identification (passport, birth certificate or other identifying document) and your private insurance health card, if applicable. All hospital fees are due. Even if you have a private insurance or other coverage, you must pay the hospitalisation fees (including external and emergency services) and, afterwards request a reimbursement of these fees from your insurance company or other party.<\/p>\n

Upon admission, you must sign forms, for example, a general consent form or one on your room selection, if you wish to stay in a private or semi-private room. Please note that when selecting a private or semi-private room, room charges will apply. This selection can be modified at any time.<\/p>\n
