This is also the place where you should bring the samples that your doctor has taken (throat, cytology, vaginal swabs, etc.) or that you have collected yourself (urine, sputum, stool, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>These results will be used to guide the diagnosis or treatment of patients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will have to verbally identify yourself to the staff taking your sample with your name and date of birth;<\/li>\n<li>The specimen collection centre does not give any test results. Only your doctor or other provider is authorized to do so;<\/li>\n<li>Instructions for certain analyses and containers for specimen collection are provided by area staff;<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that your request is properly identified and completed in order to avoid a refusal;<\/li>\n<li>Show up at the exact time of your appointment;<\/li>\n<li>It is important to check if any particularities are applicable to the prescribed tests;<\/li>\n<li>Please choose your appointment based on these;<\/li>\n<li>At your appointment, have your health insurance card, your request (if applicable) and your hospital card (up-to-date information) on hand.<\/li>\n<li>We remind you that at all times, respect is required for employees and other users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How do I get there?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>For rural areas:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/horaire-des-clsc-en-milieu-rural-et-modalites-pour-prendre-rendez-vous\/\">CLSC schedule in rural areas and how to make an appointment - CISSS \u2013 ABITIBI T\u00c9MISCAMINGUE (gouv.qc.ca)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>For urban areas: <\/strong>Sampling centre activities are accessible by appointment (except Malartic)<\/p>\n<h3>How do I make an appointment?<\/h3>\n<p>Preferably via the internet, via : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clicsante.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.clicsante.ca<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you do not have access to a computer, you can contact the appointment centre.
