A wide variety of support resources for young people and their families are available to you.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that adolescents aged 14 and over have the right to be treated confidentially and without parental consent. Visit the page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/make-a-report-to-the-dpj\/\">Concerns about a child: how to make a report to the DPJ <\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>What youth services are offered in Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue?<\/h4>\n<p>A multitude of services for children, teenagers and their parents are available in the region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Individual and family psychosocial assessment and follow-up services, at home, at school or at the service centre;<\/li>\n<li>Family crisis intervention and intensive community-based follow-up services;<\/li>\n<li>Natural environment rehabilitation services for youth and adolescents with behavioural problems;<\/li>\n<li>Intervention services for transgender youth or those questioning their gender identity;<\/li>\n<li>Services and support for young people with mental health problems and their families;<\/li>\n<li>Child psychiatry services;<\/li>\n<li>Residential rehabilitation services for youth with behavioral problems;<\/li>\n<li>Support and referral to appropriate services;<\/li>\n<li>Intervention and preparation service for the transition to adulthood;<\/li>\n<li>Family-style accommodation services for children aged 0-17.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>How can I get support from a youth support resource?<\/h4>\n<p>Several support resources for youth and their families are available in the region. Depending on your needs and preferences, you can access support in person, online, or by phone.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>CLSC and youth service points<\/h3>\n<p>To request services, visit or contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/care-and-services-at-the-clsc\/\">CLSC <\/a>nearest to your home. You can find them on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/list-of-facilities\/\">the facility's directory page <\/a>. If you have already submitted a request and are enrolled in a program, contact your caseworker. You can also call <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/info-sante-info-social-811\/\">Info-Social <\/a>(811, option 2) so that a qualified psychosocial worker can direct you to the appropriate support resource for your needs.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Parent support groups<\/h3>\n<p>Being a parent sometimes means feeling overwhelmed by your children's behavior. It also means struggling to set boundaries. Does this sound familiar? Join a support group to connect with others going through the same challenges, find answers to your questions, and get tips and advice on how to handle certain situations with your children. To participate in support groups, register with your local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/care-and-services-at-the-clsc\/\">CLSC (Community Health and Social Services Centre).<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Telephone and online support resources for young people and their families<\/h3>\n<p>It is possible to discuss your situation with a counselor or healthcare professional by phone or online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Health and Social Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Info-Sant\u00e9 (811, option 1) and Info-Social (811, option 2) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisss-at.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/info-sante-info-social-811\/\">telephone lines <\/a>are intended for the entire population, are available at all times and have a mandate to offer information and support to people who need it, in addition to directing them to the most suitable service for them if necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tel-jeunes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The support service is offered to young people, parents, and school staff.
