If you are followed by a family doctor, they are the first person that you should contact for an appointment. Your family doctor knows your health condition best. For this reason, they will be able to quickly assess any changes requiring specific care.
You have no family doctor:
You can register at the Quebec Family Doctor Finder (GAMF). This single-window access program was established to provide the whole population with access to a family doctor.

Medical specialist
To obtain an appointment with a medical specialist, your family doctor must confirm your health status. It is your family doctor who has the necessary knowledge to refer you to the right professional.
