Physical Impairment
The physical disabilities program-services encompasses services that meet the needs of individuals, regardless of their age, who have a significant and persistent disability related to a hearing or language impairment, motor deficiency or visual impairment.
Available services related to a physical disability
The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue is responsible for offering First Line services to clients throughout the region.
To find out what the service offer is in your area, contact the hospital or CLSC of your area.
The CISSS also dispenses specialized 2nd line services, namely rehabilitation services. To access these services, you must first meet with the person responsible at your CISSS who will forward your file and necessary information to a rehabilitation specialist. If you require a more specialized intervention, this person will undertake the necessary steps with a facility in another administrative region.
