Palliative care hospices

Individuals at end of life, whether they have cancer or any other fatal disease, must have access to organized care and services that meet their specific needs and those of their caregivers. These needs could be physical, psychosocial, material or spiritual in nature.

In Québec, palliative care services are essentially offered in four environments: at home, in a hospital, in a long term care centre (CHSLD) or in a palliative care hospice.
