Psychosocial Services

Following the creation of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the organisation's direction was able to observe a significant disparity in the way it carried out reception, analysis, orientation and referral activities in its various territories. This context has led to the implementation of a major project to harmonize and integrate the institution's clinical receptions. One of the important steps in this project is clarifying how its partners can refer users to the organisation.

One of the guiding principles that guided the work of the project on the harmonization and integration of clinical reception is that it is essential that a user's request for service can be received, analyzed, directed and referred to the right place in the most fluid way possible, avoiding unnecessary intermediaries. It is with this in mind that the Partner Reference - Psychosocial Services form has been developed. In order to guide its partners in the use of this form, various tools have been created and deposited on our website. Since the form is intended to be the preferred reference tool for access to social services from the CISSS de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue, a multitude of partners serving the population of Abitibi-Témiscamingue will be invited to use it (e.g., community organizations, schools, psychosocial workers and other professionals from private institutions, etc.).

Objectives of the form

  • Accompany users who will have to fill out the form to ensure that it is used in an optimal and consistent manner;
  • Facilitate the transmission of relevant information that will serve as a starting point for the analysis of users' needs and their orientation towards the right service;
  • Prevent users from repeating their stories and facilitate access to services.
